Pre-conference programme

The main conference is preceded by a half day research and writing course. Examples of pre-conference events include a 2-hour workshop on asking and answering a research question, designed for novice and early stage researchers, and a parallel stream of more advanced workshops on topics including the use of large databases for research, developing and validating diagnostic tools, the conduct and reporting of qualitative research, and the use of video recording in research. Many of these pre-conference events are open to early stage researchers.
