A dose-response relationship was seen. Adverse effects were mild and transient. The once daily regimen is easy to administer and appears to give precision in blood pressure reduction. Providing there is no subsequent escape from control, once daily beta-blocking therapy should aid long-term hypertension treatment in general practice. ER -
