Achtergrond In de literatuur is er overeenstemming over de behandeling van jongere vrouwen met een ongecompliceerde infectie van de lagere urinewegen: een driedaagse antibioticumkuur. Bij oudere vrouwen worden nogal eens langere kuren aangeraden, variërend van zeven tot veertien dagen.
